Towing Issues: towing car from Delaware to Philadelphia,Pa, dot physicals, city of philadelphia

I was just wondering if our tow & repo company needs to have any special license or permits to tow vehicles that we have repossessed in Delaware and transporting them to an auction in Philadelphia, Pa. We are based in Delaware and have all our permits and licenses for our state but were unsure what we needed if anything for towing into Philadelphia, please help. Thank you

I know that the City of Philadelphia has rules regarding towing in their city and I would suggest that you contact them regarding the rules and regulations. I think there is a permit and fee associated with this.

Also since you will be crossing state lines in a commercial vehicle, you will need to contact the US Department of Transportation and get a DOT Number and all that.

Insurance will be different and there will be more regulations including the need for Drivers to keep log books, and have DOT Physicals and those cards.
