Towing Issues: Apartment towed my car to plow lot, anoka county minnesota, private rental properties

Question
The other day I returned home from work at 2:30pm.  My apartment building posted a notice at 3:30pm that they would plow our lots the next morning.  They posted one sign, 8.5x11, not visible due to frost, on the lower window, which is about 3 feet high.  I was home all night and awoke to find my legally parked car towed by an authorized company to the tune of $300.  The property management company will not return my calls.

The Community Policies denote that they will post a notice by 5pm the evening before they will plow, which they did, but I want to know if that qualifies as proper legal notice for private rental properties.  Would I have a good case for small claims?

I live in Anoka County, Minnesota.

Answer
Is this the normal way they post it? If it is in accordance with their policy then they are within their rights. I don't think they could consider frost as a circumstance that they could overcome. I would follow your complaint up, in writing, you will probably get a better response.
