Towing Issues: Towing truck from hotel parking lot, inspection stickers, towing truck

I have been staying in a well known hotel for a period of time,and my truck were expired. The police came thru the parking lot and removed a few vehicles also ticked and inpounded my car.The coast at the end was $475.30 + ticket.All cars were in the hotel parking is this legal?

It all depends on the State and even City laws where this happened.

But expired tags mean that the vehicle is "technically, unlicensed and abandoned" and as such gets towed as an abandoned vehicle.

And in some states, the inspection stickers and such are a revenue issue so they do everything they can to keep the revenue coming in.
