Question
i currently live in an apartment complex where they do not provide enough parking spaces for the amount of people that are living in the complex we currently have to park on the side of the street and now the owners are talking about towing out cars i was wondering do is this something that we can fight because they are not providing parking for us but they do not want us to park on the side

Answer
I really have "NO SPECIFIC" answers as you did not tell me the City or State you are in, and that will help with the laws which govern what is legal or not regarding towing from Private Property.

That being said, if the apartment management wants to tow vehicles from "THEIR PROPERTY" for reasons that they determine mean it is in violation then they have that right. Sure there have to be signs up in most every state, and they have to say certain things. And in some states warnings have to be given.

There are a bunch of things that they would have to follow in order to have a "LEGAL TOW" done.

Things like abandoned vehicles, vehicles with expired tags or inspection stickers, vehicles which do not run are typically what is towed.

Now if they want to tow vehicles from the street. I really hope that it is a "PRIVATE STREET" not a public street. But the city can have vehicles towed from the street for any dozens of reasons also.

As to not enough parking spaces, well I have said it before, and will say it again in answers here, that parking spaces are a luxury and each space cuts into the "REVENUE PRODUCING" property that they can sell or rent.

Yes in some Cities there are laws which state that each apartment or condo complex has to have a certain amount of spaces available.

I wish I could help more.
