Towing Issues: Anticipating impediments towing large SUV, ground effects kits, tow truck driver

Question
The owner of a large, loaded Expedition persists with parking in a fire lane on a private street, despite warnings. If the owner has installed any impediments to thwart towing, then what kinds of devices might be anticipated? This is in Houston, TX.

Answer
wow this is really a homework question if I have ever seen one...

Sounds like you are a property owner or a tow truck driver...

There are "NO REAL IMPEDIMENTS" which I can think of that would totally stop the vehicle from being towed, but they can lower it, install all kinds of ground effects kits and make it more likely to be damaged...  Or they might just start turning the wheel and parking right next to a wall or post so that if it is towed, it hits the post or something like that...

Maybe chain it to a tree or post or something else...

Have you talked to the Police and Fire departments about it being in a fire lane. I bet the fire department will love it there. They might do something or start ticketing it...

"ANY VEHICLE can be towed, some just take more time to do it and as a result cost more to get out"
