Towing Issues: How can I tow my 05 Silverado, drive wheels, transmission issues

My questions is I have bought a 2005 Silverado 4X4 Z71 in Louisville KY and have to get it to our home in MD (500 miles). It has some transmission issues thus the reason for towing. Can I tow dolly it?

Answer
as long as it is in 2 wheel drive, and you are able to load it on the dolly backwards (rear drive wheels are used most of the time) unless you engage it in Four Wheel drive (then all wheels are turning)

Either that or load it front up and remove the driveline from the rear axle and you should be good to go...
