i have a 2006 v6 nissan frontier and have a brand new trailer i want to tow full
of my stuff to mexico. very far like 2000 miles. the trailer can handle 3500 lbs
and weighs 1100 to start. i have just boxes with my household items. no
furniture at all except 2 tvs. do you thing i will be ok and whats the best way to
load it ?

Answer
Let's start with the trailer that has a 3500 rating and weighs 1100. Just don't over load the trailer which will handle up to 2400 pounds. Distribute the load evenly on the trailer floor and put the heaviest items above the trailer axle. Also refer to your owner's manual for manufactures recommendations with trailing. Some good tips and techniques in the manual. Since you are moving make sure that the truck doesn't get overloaded with weight. Look in the driver's door jamb and weights will be given. Subtract curb weights from gross axle weights to know how much additional weight the truck can handle. There is also a GVCWR which factors in a loaded trailer. This rating should not be exceeded. Most v-6 xterra's and frontier's will handle a loaded 3500 pound trailer when properly equipped/optioned. Everything that was mentioned there shouldn't be any problems and drive under the speed limit.
