Towing Issues: permits, tow truck, lettering

Question
in new jersey you need a permit to have a tow truck for state and township work but we have tow truck comp.that run on dealer tag no lettering on trucks no dot#

Answer
Let me make sure I fully understand. You are NOT the company running with the dealer tag only? Even so.....

We all need to have a even, equal to all towers, from the one truck company, to the company with a fleet of 250 units. Rules and regulations are only as good as the people who enforce them. Those who don't abide by the rules & regulations need to be fined, if they still don't spend the same amount to become legal, the amount every other company must pay, they need to be shut down.

You can go to www.municode.com look in the library for the towing laws in your area. Feel free to print them and highlight the laws that are being broken over & over, send them to the unit that should be writing any company up for not following them. If you feel you may get 'blackballed' for doing so, just send it from 'the Legal Towers of New Jersey'.

We find many times there are law enforcement agents that may not be aware of the wrecker regulations, thus due to all areas not having the same rules & regs., bring it to their attention: Without bringing attention to yourself.
