Towing Issues: Tow in KY, dodge intrepid, tow company

Because Can you tell me how long ago your vehicle was towed? How much time went by before you contacted the towing company? What year, make & model is the car? How much is the storage per day? With that info I may can help you.

The car was towed around the 12th of Aug...it was $89 for the tow and $15 a day...the car is a 96 Dodge intrepid...I contacted the tow company the morning they towed it around 9:30 that morning only an hour after it had been towed.

At the time you contacted them, the tow should have been $89.00. They should have told you storage would be $15.00 a day for every day they had the car. You may be best to contact them and ask them if you can pay the tow bill of $89.00 and sign the title over to them.

Remember by now they have the cost of sending the letters to all parties, research to see how the car is titled and the cost of running a legal ad. If they want you to pay for everything they have had to do, you are still better off than having a lien placed on you.

We personally will try to work with anyone, I can't speak for them. If you have stayed in contact with them, since the tow and tried to set up a payment schedule, they should be willing to work with you now.

You want to work things out with them prior to the auction. If the get a high bid of $100.00 and sell if for that amount, you will still owe the balance minus the $100.00. Check www.municode.com go to the library in your area and view the towing laws. Here, a towing company can place a lien on the owner of the vehicle. Until it is paid in full they can't get a tag for any vehicle.
