Towing Issues: damages by tow truck, rear control arm, rear loading

Question
Is there anyway that a flat bed tow truck could damage the rear control arm of a vehicle if it is hooked with Mini "J"-hooks and/or "T"-hooks and then lifted onto the flat bed backwards?  I hope I explained that clear enough.  Thank you.

Answer
Well the honest answer is YES, as anytime you attach anything to a vehicle there is a chance for damage to happen..
Now as to the rear loading of vehicles onto flatbed, yes there are several different things that can be used to do that, but one other thing that can cause damage is after its loaded, they used the wrong stuff to secure it to the bed to keep from falling off...

Not defending the tow company here or blaming them, but I have been towing for 29 years and as such have also made mistakes, and I have also had chains move or fallout at times from where they are hooked..

Also I do know that the towing industry is one where drivers are not properly trained on how to do the job. A lot of this job is OJT style.. Yes there are training programs but they are not always available due to areas, costs and even owners and drivers thinking they do not need them..

But the basic answer I have for you, is that yes its possible to cause the damage you described when towing your vehicle...
