Towing Issues: No sign and towed, speed limit signs, doubt check

Question
I parked my car in San Francisco at a meter 5:30 pm put money in the meter to get me to 6 pm. When I came out of work at 11. My car had been towed. There was no sign on my meter but on other meters on the street. I was towed in violation TC 33c of the traffic code, which means they can tow 100 ft from a sign. I have photos showing there was no sign on my meter. Is there anything I can do?

Answer
I really have no answer on this one, I did a search of the traffic codes in San Francisco and that section has a bunch of different issues...

But in a practical manner, the sign not being on the meter itself does not mean much, it could of fallen off, or they do not post every meter with signs...

Speed limit signs are not every 20 feet yet we know they imply the rules for between them...

If in doubt, check with the police, that or take the ticket to court and get it explained to you by the judge who might see it your way or might not...
