Towing Issues: apt towing, dollar fee, correct answers

Ok i was visiting my friends at an apartment complex in illinois and i parked at the office parking lot which the manager or who ever owns the complex says that it is for guest after office hours till 8am. so i parked at 5:55 pm after hours and stayed for three hours. and i find out that my car is being towed i stop the truck and pay the 50 dollar fee.
Should i ask the manager to pay that 50 dollars back since she is the one who towed my car illegally

Well you can ask all you want for the manager to repay the amount.  I am not sure how far you will get though, as they might have different rules than what you were told...

I can not tell you why they had it towed, but talking to the manager is the best answer as you will get the correct answers then...  All I could do is offer ideas or thoughts here.
