Towing Issues: Towing salvaged VWs, vw jettas, tow dolly

I have a friend who is interested in towing VW Jettas, Passats, and Bugs from a auction of salvaged vehicles. Are the 1999-2004 VW's towable on all 4 wheels assuming the vehicle is not damaged to prevent the wheels from turning?

best advise to your friend is to get a tow dolly and use it to do the towing with... Any vehicle with an automatic transmission which does not have special equipment to protect the transmission and lube the gears is subject to damage...

Since the majority of these vehicles listed are front wheel drive and if salvage they might be hit in the front you will be better off this way...

Next best way and you will be able to tow everything, is to get a car trailer to actually haul the vehicle off the ground all the way...
