Towing Issues: Help making parking easier on my street!, van nuys ca, local police department

Hello,

I have been living in the Van Nuys, CA area for the last 6 months & Parking is extremely difficult on my street.  To my shock and astonishment I watched as someone who does not live on my street in the surrounding apartment complexes Come park his pick up truck in the morning to save a parking spot for a big commercial air conditioning company truck in the evenings.  I have asked him not to park these vehicles here as the big truck takes up almost two spots & his parking on our street on a daily basis takes away parking from those of us that actually live here. It has been a week & he is still doing this routine so my question is can I have the vehicles towed & who would I call to do it as it is on a city street or "public" road.  Please help I am desperate to be able to park my own car on my own street.

Well unfortunately you will have do deal with the local police department as to this issue.

Some cities have rules and regulations regarding parking of commercial vehicles in residential areas.. That might be worth investigating...


I know its maddening to try to park on the street in front of your house, but there are no cut and dry rules granting privileges for such a thing...

Work with the police department and they might be able to get this solved.
