Towing Issues: Non-business Hours, tow truck driver, parking lots

Question
I had parked at a bank's parking lot at 6:45pm and still got towed.  There was a sign that I had to have a sticker to park in the lot but there was no other signs that said I could not park there after hours.  Was I wrong?  Also, I asked the tow guy to drop my car and whatever I owed him, I'll pay for.  He said it was too late and I had to go to the tow lot to pick it up.  Could he have let my car go then and there?

Answer
Well first of all, most parking lots after hours still have the regulations in place regarding towing...  Since you did not have a permit to park you were in the wrong... Even after hours..

Now as to the tow truck driver not letting you pay on location for the tow, I think he might of been right but there are many areas where a drop fee is allowed to be charged.. Some do not allow them..

Without knowing where you were its hard to say. Towing regulations are different in each city or state, and some areas have no regulations at all..

But then I also have to say something, which at times is what is really happening....   Some drivers are paid commission and the more they charge the more they make... Hopefully it is not that way....
