Towing Issues: Towing capacity, ford windstar, buying a boat

Question
I have a Ford Windstar (02) that has a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs.  I am thinking of buying a boat with trailer that when gased up, will come in around 2,400 lbs.  While I do not intend to travel far with this boat, do I stand the chance of not having enough power on the ramp to get the boat out.

I wouldn't worry about not having enough power to get the boat out of the water.  However, you may be exceeding your vehicle's weight rating (dependant upon the laws in your state).
