Towing Issues: City Towing, notice signs, road construction

I was curious if there was a timeframe that tow signs needed to be put up to legally tow a car.

The situation was as follows.

Early Thursday morning I parked my car in a legal parking space in Boston.  There were no notices of construction or towing anywhere.  Thursday afternoon I checked on the car (because it was in a bad part of the city) and still, there were no tow notice signs.  Friday, when I went to drive my car it was gone.  They had done road construction and there were NOW tow notice signs (previously not there).

well hate to say it, but when road construction or parades or other special events happen temporary tow zones are established.  Cities have a way of doing this, but at times there is no real notice,  maybe something in the paper mgiht of happened but who knows..


I think that you are going to have to just suffer and eat this one and chalk it up to experience..
