Toyota Repair: toyota four runner 4wd problem

i use a toyota four runner 2000, recently when my engine is
cold and i press the 4wd button it will engage and the light will come on but wen the engine has run for some time and i press the 4wd button it will not engage not even the light will come on
pls i will need your assistant

hello, the 4 wheel drive actuator in the transfer case may be stuck, or the front differential actuator. locate the transfer case actuator, it's actually inside but you can try using a rubber hammer or a metal hammer and tap on the case where the actuator is located while someone inside engages the 4 wheel drive, this may loosen it and let it move to engage the transfer case.
