Toyota Repair: 89 Corolla

Question
QUESTION: Recently my 80a power dist fuse blew and I replaced it and the car started fine but when i put it in drive the idle was very rough now it dies unless the gas peddle is being pinned. Could the fuse blowing have affected the choke at all? I replaced the coil and cap a couple of years ago so I dont think thats the problem but I'm all ears.

ANSWER: Hello, does it have the EFI engine or carbureted, if unsure check the label on the underside of the hood, it should say something 5E, 4AC, 4AF-E

QUESTION: Sorry it's carbureted  4af I think a jet might be plugged so I'm going to start with a carb kit and  see what happens. Thank you.

Answer
Thanks for the reply, be sure to check for a possible intake manifold leak or carburetor base gasket leak. Don't have too much info this far back but I think there was a fuse for the idle control circuit so it may be a good idea to check all fuses closely.
