Toyota Repair: 1993 toyota 4runner, toyota 4runner, coil wire

Question
I had been driving my 1993 toyota 4runner with only 5 ignition/spark plug leads attached. Now it only winds over but doesn't fire.. what effects can driving with only 5 leads have on the cars engine? How can I fix this?

Answer
Driving it with one plug wire disconnected should not cause it to not run anymore at all.
The first thing you should check is to see if it has spark from the coil, remove the center coil wire from the distributor cap and hold it about 1/4" away from a ground, see if the spark jumps across.
