Toyota Repair: 87 Toyota celica gts, toyota celica, celica

Question
We bought a Toyota celica for our son. The owner said it had been sitting for a while. The car started, was not smoking and drove fine. We drove the car about 20 miles when the radiator blew. We towed the car fixed the radiator and the Car sat for a week. The Car now makes a knocking sound when you start it? What could it be and is it worth fixing?

Answer
Knocking noises are never good news and usually mean expensive engine repairs, whether it's worth fixing depends on how much you paid for it and the general condition of the car, it's worth about $800-1,000 on average, you can easily put that into it even getting a used engine.
