Toyota Repair: Blown Head Gasket L & R, blown head gasket, camry v6

Question
The Camry V6 XLE was overheating very bad, and the head gaskets of both sides blew from my son. There is water in the exhaust system, the intake manifold, the throttle body, and oil pan.
Is safe to to go ahead and replace both head gaskets, or is this a sign the heads or engine block is cracked. My son said there was a lot of smoke coming out of the engine, by the firewall.

Answer
I would remove the heads for inspection, send the heads to a machine shop to have the valves ground and the head resurfaced and checked for cracks, I've never seen a block crack so I doubt very much that it is the case but the cylinder walls should be inspected for scoring or overheating.
