Toyota Repair: 99 Avalon amplifier, side kick panel, phillips screws

Question
QUESTION: The front speakers on my 99 Avalon quit working.  I assume that it is the amplifier behind the glove compartment. But how do I remove the glove compartment? I think there are screws hidden behind the bottom of the compartment door but I can't figure out how to get the door to drop down so I can get to them. Can you help me?

ANSWER: The Audio amplifiers are usually installed under one of the front seats, most likely the passenger seat.

QUESTION: The amplifier IS behind the glove compartment.  HOW do I remove the glove compartment?  I think there are screws hidden behind the bottom edge of the compartment door but I can't figure out how to get the door to drop down so I can get to them.

Answer
Remove the right side kick panel, there is a 10mm bolt just blow the bottom of the glove box, remove it, to the left near the bottom is a phillips screw, inside the glove box at the top are a few of phillips screws including tweo that hod the metal latch, when they are all removed the entire glove box pulls out.
