Toyota Repair: Toyota Camry - locked in?, toyota camry, scary experience

I have a 2003 Toyota Camry. Some time ago I thought I locked myself in the car and it was a very scary experience. After a few minutes of panic, I put the key in the ignition, started the car, and I realized I could open the windows well as the door. Whenever I tell this story I get nothing but odd looks or laughter, but seriously, I am not making it up. How can I replicate a situation where I (nearly) lock myself in the car, or at least close to it, where starting the car solves the problem? I need some vindication. Thanks.

You probably have an aftermarket alrm system that has an autolock feature, in most cases the car can be unlocked manually from the inside, if this is not possible then I would suggest having the aftermarket system removed by a professional alarm technician.
