Toyota Repair: 1998 Toyota Avalon, aamco transmissions, toyota avalon

Hey i have a 1998 Toyota Avalon and its acting funny  the
engine light is blinking and the car doesn't run good at all
it feels like its going to stall but it doesn't the idle is
all messed up and the exhaust smells terrible and when you
hit the gas the car shakes from the engine. What is wrong
with it ??

The engine has a misfire, you should have it looked at as soon as possible because driving it with the engine light blinking can damage the catalityc converter which is a very expensive repair. I can't tell you what is causing the misfire as there are just too many possibilities. One thing that may help if you want to try to deal with this yourself and have some tools is to have the trouble codes read that are in the computer. If you live in the US there are autoparts stores that usually help you do this at no charge. Try Autozone, advance auto/O'Reilly, kragen, even AAMCO transmissions, then you can reply and let me know what the codes are.
