driver's side power window regulator master switch assembly pushes in and
needs to be held in place to engage

Answer
There is a retaining spring clip on one end of the switch and a plastic tab on the other end, if the spring clip is broken or missing you can get a new one at the dealer, if the plastic retaining tab is broken off the switch needs to be replaced or it can be put back in using a small amount of super glue on the edges.
