Toyota Repair: Corolla ignition swith hard to turn, lock cylinder, corolla

Hi Ted,
I have a 1993 Corolla and when I put the key in to start it it is very hard to turn. I have to play with it for a bit to get it to turn. Today I got stuck at a gas station for about 15 minutes trying to get it to turn on. The wheel is not locked.

Check the key to make sure it's not worn, if the key works ok in the doors the the ignition lock cylinder should be replaced, I would do this soon as it's a lot easier while you are able to get it to move because the key has to be in the ACC position to get the cylinder out.
