Toyota Repair: toyota hilux, toyota hilux, air control valve

Question
I have a hilux, 3.4 6cyclinder efi 2004 model, when I start the car when cold the engine will rev at 800/900 rpm, when she get to operating temp, it revs up to 1100/1200 rpm, there is no indication that there is a vacuuum leak or engine lights on the dash, the car is running fine apart from the high revs at idle when hot, do you have any suggestions before i have to call for a dianostics machine to have a look, the car is drivable with no other problems, and has only 110.0000klm on the clock thanks wal

Answer
Try cleaning the inside of the throttle body, use some spray air intake or induction system cleaner and a brush to remove all the carbon deposits, if there is an idle air control valve on the bottom of the throttle body clean it as well by removing the entire throttle body then removing the IAC valve, in most cases this fixes erratic idle problems.
