Toyota Repair: 92 Camry wont idle, air control valve, mechanical genius

Question
My sister has a 1992 Camry that she recently bought off Craigslist and its turning into a nightmare.  The first few days... maybe a week... it seemed fine but soon the car started dying at an idle.  It dies when the RPMs drop below 1,000 and can't be started without cranking it several times and for a while each time. She has very little money and her husband is not a mechanical genius...but do you have any suggestions?

Answer
This is usually due to a sticking idle air control valve, the IAC valve is located on the throttle body, the throttle body should be removed and the IAC valve then removed, in most cases the valve can be cleaned using some spray intake cleaner and a brush, the throttle body should be cleaned out at the same time, all the carbon and gunk deposits need to be cleaned out, this normally solves the idle problems.
