Toyota Repair: 2009 Corolla, 2009 corolla, insurance company

Question
I ran over something in the street.I thought that I would be able to run over it but that didn't happen.  Problem is my car sounds like I need about 15 mufflers.  The faster I go the louder the sound gets.I not sure should I file it with my insurance company or see how much it would be to go directly to the dealer. Thanks. 2009 Corolla

Have the dealer inspect it and then go from there to see if your insurance covers the damage, your dealer will take care of all that and if necessary a representative from your insurance company will come to the dealer to inspect the damage, that's how it usually works.
