Toyota Repair: 95 T100, valve cover gasket, oil leak

I have an oil leak on the engine and it is leaking down to the starter.  The heat is enough to produce some smoke once the engine is warmed up.  Please advise on temporary fix or permanent repairs as I don't have the budget right now to take to repair shop. Thanks so much.

The most common leak is the valve cover gasket on the starter side, both left and right gaskets should be replaced, the parts are not expensive but it's labor intensive, the intake chamber has to be removed, this does not require any special tools, if you can give me an email address I can send some illustration that may help.
