Toyota Repair: Toyota carolla ABS?, toyota carolla, toyota corolla

Question
I have a 2004 Toyota corolla S w/out ABS. My wife crashes it every winter in the snow. Can I add ABS to this car? I know anything is possible? but is it feasible. If so i was planning on getting parts from salvage yard. But I don't know exactly what I need. I'm assuming a new CPU, some sort of actuator, sensors, brackets, and some wiring harnesses.
Thanks for the input,
James

Answer
Not practical and here is why: The whole brake system would have to be replaced including all the brake lines, the master cylinder, the engine main wire harness, the body ECU,the ECM, steering parts and sensors and the ABS actuator would have to be added, the instrument cluster and so on, if you were to get all the parts necessary at a toyota dealer you would have to spend about $8000 maybe more, the wire harness, the ECM and the ABS actuator/computer alone would cost around $3000. Don't forget the labor hours if you have somone do this which could add another $2000, the best advise I can give you is to trade it in on a model that has ABS.
