Toyota Repair: Corolla 2000 signal lights, butt connectors, hazard lights

Question
A year ago, my radio was stolen and the burglar cut the radio cables, and apparently, the hazard lights, clock, and signal lights cables (they won't work and are not connected to anything). What do I have to buy (some kind of plug?) to connect them and make them work?

Answer
Hi,

First, you need to have a professional reinstall a new stereo. The circuits you mentioned are activated when the ignition switch is in the "on" position. If the burglar cut various wires in a wire harness during the theft, you will need a wiring diagram and butt-connectors to successfully re-gain power to the circuits. Please be advised that the wires are "hot" during operation and can cause damage and or injury. I recommend that you take your car to a certified toyota electrician.

Thanks.
