Question
QUESTION: Good morning Ted Ritter, i have a 1995 toyota camry le 4 cylinder automatic
transmission. the problem  is, every time i shift my car in reverse the (10)
gauge fuse blows once in a while... it would last at least a day..but when it
blows boy does it shut down, the power windows, the air conditioner the
fans, and it has a hard time switching into first gear..and of course the gauge
goes out as well. the only way i can drive my car is if i put in and take out the
10 fuse when i reverse...the tail light on the gauge is also on i don't know if
that means anything.. i will check the rear lights today to see if they are the
right ones..again and again thanks for your time and support have a great
day..

ANSWER: Yes checking all the light bulbs and the sockets is the first step, make sure none of the bulb sockets are burned or contacts worn,by the way what designation is the 10amp fuse? Is it the tail fuse or the gauge fuse?

QUESTION: it is a 10 fuse (gauge)

Answer
The gauge fuse is in the same circuit as the backup lights and the brake lights so the problem could be with either circuit, see if there is a problem with either one, check the backup lihgt bulb sockets also, if nothing can be found the problem may be a shorting out neutral safety switch, it has the backup light switch in it.
