Toyota Repair: 94 camry wont shift out of park, blown fuse, fuse panel

Question
My 94 camry wont shift out of park suddenly. The engine starts fine and I put my foot on the brake but the knob on the shifter wont depress all the way, and wont move. Am I stupid and missing something? Or is this actually a problem?

Answer
First look and see if the brake lights come on when pressing the brake pedal, if not there is a blown fuse, check the stop fuse in the fuse panel inside under the cover on the lower left of the dash.
If the brake lights work check the other fuses including the ones under the hood. To get the shifter out of gear manually remove the small plastic cover near the shifter and with a small object depress the button under the cover, this will let it come out of park so you can drive it.
