Toyota Repair: Console Cup holder lid, fastening clips, phillips screws

Hello Ted, I have a 2003 Toyota Camry SE. Someone, of course no one will admit it, has jammed a pen down the side of my cup holder lid on the console so that the lid will not open straight up. Is there a way to "pop" the lid off so that I can get it out. I'm afraid to play with the tabs too much. They seem likely to break very easily.

The lid is attached to the cup holder but the entire cup holder can be popped out,you may have to pry out the shifter cover, it's all held in with plastic fastening clips except fot the console itself, it has two bolts inside the big lid under the carpet and a couple of phillips screws under the center covers where the shifter is located.
