Toyota Repair: 92 Previa drivers door, toyota previa, toyota

We can't get the driver's side door open on our '92 Toyota Previa.  Is there a way to fix it from the outside, or do we need to get the inside panel off?  Then what?

Answer
The inside door panel has to be removed, this is very difficult with the door closed, I've done this before, the seat has to be removed and then all the trim pieces around the door then the panel can be removed but some damage to it may occur, once the panel is off the lock can be released by someone that really knows what they're doing.
