Question
My check engine light is on. its been on for a while, so i talked to a lexus tech, he told me because the car is so old, that the only way to see whats work with the car is to put a wire on TE1 and E1 on the code scan adapter. so i did, then went to my car, didnt turn on the engine, but the car, and my check engine light fashed. the codes are 12,13,14,52,71. ive looked around the internet but dont know what they mean.can you please help me?

Answer
The first three codes are all related to the distributor signals that are send to the ECM, I would recommend replacing the distributor as there are no parts available for them. The 52 is a knock sensor code which I would ignore at this time until the other problems are fixed, the 71 code is an EGR system malfunction.
