Toyota Repair: oil in my spark plugs, 1990 toyota camry, piston ring

Question
i pulled out 3 spark plugs in a 1990 toyota camry 2.0 and they were drenched in oil at the base the actuall spark area not where the boot slides onto but the bottom. why is this and what can i do to remy the issue or atleast put a band-aid over the issue untill i buy another car.

Answer
The spark plugs may just be bad or the incorrect plugs that don't burn hot enough to burn the oil off, have you tried a new set of spark plugs and is the result the same? Is there smoke from the exhaust pipe?If so then the cause may be excessive oil burning, probably a piston ring problem which would mean an engine overhaul or replacement, I normally don't recommend additives for the oil because in most cases that is just what they are" a band aid" since you going to get rid of the car and buy another one I would recommend going to an autoparts store and ask what product they might have that will temporarely help, I usually don't recommend specific additives but I have heard of some that actually do help oil consumption problems.
