Toyota Repair: Weak Struts 1995 Camry Coupe 4-cylinder, toyota dealer, imminent danger

Question
I was recently told, upon dealer mechanic's inspection, that the struts are "weak", but "not yet leaking", and repair is $3K.  105K miles on car. a) is it worth repairing, or buy a new car?  b)am I putting myself in imminent danger by continuing to drive car without repair? c)how long can one potentially "get by" on weak struts?  Thank you kindly for your attention.

Answer
Weak struts may cause excessive bouncing of the car, or a floating feeling, if they are weak they should be replaced as soon as possible because it can lead to loss of control of the car when cornering, 3,000 seems way out of line though, I would get another opinion somewhere else, preferably the toyota dealer.
