Toyota Repair: Camry stalling, rough idle low speeds, air control valve, throttle control

Question
I have a 2000 4 cyl. automatic Camry with 45,0000. Recently,
the car has developed a rough idle and it stalls. This occurs when the engine is hot and I slow the car down at a stop light or it stall as I am making a turn from after having slowed the car at an intersection. After applying the brakes the car begins idle roughly and stalls then the brakes stop operating and the car still is moving forward.

I brought it into a non-dealer mechanic and he cleaned the throttle control. Problem returned. I brought it into Toyota and they replaced the vacuum switching valve and said the EGR was ok.

Problem returned less than 1 week later.

Answer
Is by any chance the check engine light on? In most cases idling and stalling problems are caused by a faulty idle air control valve, this valve is located directly on the throttle body, the t/b has to be removed to get to the valve, I would recommend replacing the valve.
