Toyota Repair: 99 4Runner trailer hitch, trailer wiring harness, fuse box

Question
Hi, I have a 99 4Runner and I cant seem to get any trailer lights working.  All the lights on the 4Runner work, just none on any trailer.  No blinkers, no tail lights, no brake lights, nothing.  I've used 2 different trailers with working lights but they don't work when I hook them up to my 4Runner.  I was wondering if you knew where a fuse would be (if there is one) because I've looked in the obvious places (fuse box under dash and under hood) but cant seem to find anything.  Thank you in advance.

Answer
There is no single fuse for the trailer wiring harness, if all the lights on the vehicle are working then the problem is with the trailer wiring harness, remove both tailight assemblies and see if there is a wire harness connected to the veh wire harness, the factory installation will have connectors that connect to the veh wire harness, also check underneath to make sure the connectors are all connected, there is a converter box that converts the 3 bulb system to 2 bulb which almost all trailers use, the converter may have failed completely, in any case there is no electrical connection to the trailer plug.
