Toyota Repair: timing belt warning light, 2 4d, toyota surf

I have a 1991 toyota surf ssrg 2.4d with 2lte engine.How long after the "timing belt"warning light comes on do you have to replace the belt.The car has 136,000klms on it.Any help would be appreciated-thanks.

I would recommend replacing the belt as soon as possible, I normally don't deal with diesel engines as they are not sold in the US but in most cases the diesel engines can sustain severe engine damage if the belt should break, this is why they put the warning light in the dash.
