Toyota Repair: 1998 Sienna ABS Light On, abs light, abs systems

Question
My Sienna has 135K miles and for the last few months the "ABS" light comes
on intermittantly.  I know if I take the car to the dealer they will probably find
nothing unless the computer stores the code.  I hate to spend alot of time
and money on an old car.  Is it safe to drive like this?  What if I never take it
in?  Will the main brake system work normally in this situation?

THANK YOU!

Answer
If the ABS light turns on there should be a trouble code in the system, if you are not too concerned with this and want to continue to drive it in this condition there is no cause for alarm and it is safe to drive, it will just act like any other vehicle that does not have ABS, in other words it will brake normally, it just won't have the abs assistance, just like it used to be before computers, there are still many cars that do not have ABS systems to this day.
