Toyota Repair: 02 Rav4 turns on and shuts off, air intake hose, air control valve

okay.. so my mom left her dome light on which drained the battery.. i replaced it with a new battery .. but when i crank the car it turns on for a second then shuts off .. if i crank it with my foot on the gas a little it will turn on and stay on if i leave my foot there.. but if i let it go it shuts off i was wonder whats the problem

Possibly an idle air control valve problem but try to remove the negative side of the battery and then put it back on start the car and rive it right away, even if it means keeping the pedal depressed, this sometimes forces the computer to reset and relearn the idle speed and driving patterns. If nothing that doesn't help remove the large air intake hose on the throttle body and clean the inside of the t/b with a brush and some spray throttle body cleaner, cleaning all the carbon deposits should solve the problem.
