Question
i have a 1994 toyota pick up 4x4. I just replaced the timing chain and the head gasket and i was wonderin if there is a wire or wires that i need to jump across or disconnect to set the timing correctly? when i put the timing light on it it would jusmp around a good 2-4 degrees either direction acts like the computer is tryin to control the timing i read in the chilton manual on how to do it but cant the wiring harness i need to jump any suggestions would just make me the happiest guy ever......lol

Answer
There is a couple of terminals that do need jumped. Haynes manuals have a great diagram that is easy to understand and will show you exactly which ones. If you look at your hood there is a specifications for this procedure and you should be able to follow it, noting that there is also a diagram under the diagnostic cover.
