Toyota Repair: about the check engine, car leaks, toyota dealer

My cars check engine doesn' turn on at all.........when i bought it i always thought it would light when the engine had some problem. when i took it to the mechanic they said some one cut it off and they wouldnot do the inspection. is it a big problem??? and my car leaks oil too and the soke looks something whitish. It is a 99 Solara v6 . Thank you

It may be a big problem. Someone has disabled the check engine light to hide a problem with the car, the best advice I can give you is to have a toyota dealer take a look at it because it sounds like there are some serious issues with this car that need to be addressed.
