Toyota Repair: is it the ground breaker?, dash light, charge battery

Question
My car runs fine on highway if I do alot of stop and go the lights on dash light up: charge battery, lights and brake...it eventually dies and I need a jump...what could this be?

Answer
I believe this is the sign your car is telling you that it needs and alternator. To do a no cost service, charge your battery, and drive your car to a local parts warehouse. They usually will test your charging system for free. The fair thing to do would be to purchase the part from them if they tell you your alternator needs replaced. After all, you did just save $80 in diagnostics from the local repair garage.
