Toyota Repair: 1986 mkII supra, sp scott, emission regulations

i've got a mkII supra subject to ca. emission regulations. the current 5m-ge is pretty tired and is about ready for a rebuild. what would be the greatest hurdles to overcome in replacing the 5m-ge with a 7m-ge? ma-61 chassis with 5-sp.

I don't think this engine swap would be to bad actually. The main thing would be to have a complete wire harness and computer to go with the 7M-GE.  Also, check that the California laws will allow it to be street driven with a non-factory engine in it.
