Toyota Repair: 94 Corolla grinding noise on acceleration, cv joints, cause noise

Question
my car is a 94 corolla, 150k+ miles, automatic transmission. my car is making a grinding/rattling noise when i accelerate from 0 to about 30, when in motion. after 30 mph, the noise fades away. if i'm not pressing the gas, the sound is normal. the grinding noise also occurs when turning, but only if i'm pressing the gas. my friend said that it could be damaged cv joints. what is ur opinion? thanks.

Answer
Without actually hearing the noise it's hard to say, CV joints on toyotas almost never cause noise, there may be a problem with the differential, drain the differential oil and inspect for any metal pieces or particles stuck to the magnetic drain plug.
